Question: Would you please tell me how to have the URL line appear when starting the Internet? Currently we have to do File > Open in order to type in an address. I am running Windows 3.1. It was there at one time, but we must have deleted it. We are using the help menus to learn to use the Net. --T.S.

Answer: You don't say which browser you're using, but try one of the following solutions.

If you're using Netscape, choose Show Locations from the Options menu. The location field should open, and that's where you type URLs or Internet addresses.

If you're using Internet Explorer, choose Toolbars from the View menu, and then select Address Bar.
